Jeff Ogden - PGA Coach
The great players know every data point of their game and have a plan to incrementally improve weaknesses and imbed strengths.
Every 90 days a player should do a full analysis of their game and set short term and long term objectives. Review your tournament data and determine the 3 weakest areas of your game. That will get you the best return on your practice time.
Plan and start the journey. Every three months something will improve. You develop a strategy to take your change to the course , be clear and concise.
That’s the cycle of the Digital Golfer. Incremental 1% gains every 12 weeks, a new cycles of data analysis, another planning session and the cycle continues.
Playing and performing are very different things. Fine tuning practice, making the body swing connection, preparing for events, making progress and learning to win are all essential disciplines.
Players of all levels will benefit from understanding how to perform under pressure. Ancient practices based on breath centered meditation are transformational if you want to perform under pressure.
Data is the lifeblood of the modern golfer and every golfer should have a Digital Profile. Key data metrics on and off the course need to be analysed and fed into the development plan.
A golfers career can start as young at 5 and need to be managed all the way to playing professionally. Managing that career development, making the right decisions at the right time, keeping players engaged and having a connected strategy will lead to career success.
Successful players have a development plan supported by data. Developing your milestones, identifying your strengths and weaknesses, building training and practice programs and measuring success cannot be ignored.
Having a team around you to develop your tournament schedule, select the right events, plan course strategies, practice the right things , guide you through the events and manage post tournament analysis is our job.
